Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.
Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Compile information, make calculations and use in the preparation of reports, studies, research projects, etc.

Prepare or assist in the preparation of test orders, work orders, charts, graphs, diagrams and other related material as required.

Maintain records such as schedules, status reports, data on equipment, etc.

Prepare or assist in the preparation of routine letters, forms, bill of materials, or sketches.

Contact manufacturers, vendors, contractors, as required, to obtain information, expedite receipt of drawings or material.

Prepare or assist in the preparation of data for processing by computer.

Assemble required specifications and drawings for use in obtaining quotations for equipment and contracted work.

Make field trips as directed.

May be required to obtain routine data from field.

Perform other routine duties as required.

NOTE;
- Incumbents who demonstrate satisfactory performance for one (1) year in this classification and have completed the required studies as specified will be eligible for promotion to the classification of Technical Assistant A-8.
- Two years college including Engineering, Math, Physics, Chemistry and AutoCAD.
- Applicants who have completed a minimum of one (1) year of prescribed courses in Engineering and are presently continuing in a prescribed course of study leading to a two-year Certificate of Engineering studies as required by recognized local colleges.
- Applicants will be required to evidence satisfactory completion of these courses and must have a C average in their major courses.
