Job Summary

The Sr Procurement Analyst will manage the procurement of materials and services for PSEGLI through accurate procurement project management and planning; innovative sourcing; and contract development, negotiation and administration.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Procurement Analyst is responsible for procuring services and/or materials consistent with the needs of PSEGLI Procurement Operations Group.
  • Responsible for accurate procurement planning, innovative sourcing, contract development and contract administration while maintaining compliance with enterprise procurement policies and procedures.
  • This position is an individual contributor role that initiates and coordinates procurement activities, which include preparation of bid packages, conducting pre-bid meetings, site visits, evaluating bids, negotiating terms & conditions, issue contracts, amendments, purchase orders and change orders as required.
  • Works independently negotiates and settles supplier claims and back-charges with guidance provided as needed. Additional responsibilities include fostering and implementing process improvement initiatives, client relationship management, communicating contractual commitments, and representing PSEG in the external marketplace.
  • Possess general knowledge of the sourcing process, project management and contract law.

 

Roles that include NERC CIP responsibilities:

  • Owns functional tasks on day-to-day compliance with the all the NERC Standard's Requirements assigned.
  • Serves as contact for all assigned compliance activities. Coordinates the reviews and approvals as specified in Standard Requirements.
  • Ensures required policies/procedures are followed and that any local dept-level procedures encompassing the NERC Compliance Standards Requirements are up to date.
  • Provides materials for required reviews and approvals of all assigned compliance activities for submission.
  • Works with SME Mgrs and Lead SME Contributor on functional day-to-day compliance activities to ensure all are effectively coordinated, sustained in the LOB. Provides updated and approved input to the Lead SME for the Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets, CIP Evidence Request Tool, O&P Evidence Tracking Sheet and for all assigned NERC Standard. Includes FERC, NERC, NPCC, LIPA, NY State, DHS.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 year of Procurement, Contract Management, Strategic Sourcing, or other business related experience. In lieu of a degree, those with a minimum of 10 years of procurement experience may be considered
  • Experience analyzing proposals and negotiating with suppliers to purchase materials and services
  • Proven ability to analyze data and communicate/present to senior leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated proficiency in personal computer applications including Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Applicants must have and maintain a valid US driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driver history. The position requires driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events
  • Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required

  • SAP, Ariba, Power Advocate or ERP experience
