Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.
Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary
This is a first level supervisory position in the Training, Support & Contractor Services Department (Vegetation Management Group). Coordinate contractor activities/oversight efforts, establish and deploy required training, review performance through the completion of contractor quality assessments and site inspections to ensure the work is being completed in compliance with required procedures and established regulatory requirements. Planning and controlling the priorities and schedules of all tree trim work in respective yard/ Division. Achieve the desired results of the Training, Support & Contractor Services Department (Vegetation Management Group) through the use of PSEG values and tools, sound management practices and skills and a total commitment to teamwork. Assist Divisions in the emergency response for minor and major events/ storms. Assist in the training and development of personnel. Promote safety principles. Interfacing with customers and municipal/ public officials to represent PSEGLI and explain the company’s vegetation management program to facilitate the smooth flow of work and assure adequate line clearance. Assign and direct work to accomplish the desired results in a safe, efficient and expeditious manner. Accept call out assignments. Must be willing to respond outside of normal hours. Ability to layout/supervise the work of others. Knowledge of applicable portions of Company/Union agreements will be applied. Must utilize ability to recognize unusual conditions and take corrective action. Plans, directs, organizes, and negotiates necessary federal, state, regional and local permits, licenses, and approvals for electric transmission and distribution vegetation management projects impacting their respective yards/ Divisions.
Job Responsibilities

Job Specific Qualifications
Required
- High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience or BS degree in Forestry with 3 years tree trim experience preferably in utility line clearance.
- Prior supervisory experience
- Familiarity with T&D electric line construction and line clearance requirements.
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in interfacing with customers and internal team members.
- Valid US driver’s license with a safe driving history
Preferred
- BA / BS Forestry (or related degree)
- ISA Arborist of Utility Arborist certification; Relevant professional certificates
- Proven ability to interface with customers / municipal officials and provide excellent customer service.
- Experience managing projects collaboratively on a cross functional team
