Onsite are roles that have specific onsite requirements and are typically onsite daily.
Hybrid fixed are roles that are a blend of onsite work/in-person interactions with some ability to work remotely and require employees to live within a commutable distance and be onsite fixed days each week.
Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.
Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary
The position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic outreach and communication plans to advocate and gain support for critical Enterprise priorities, legislative and regulatory proposals, and projects to a wide range of audiences. The position requires engagement of executive officers on matters of critical importance to the company and external implications and cost/benefits of decisions. Responsibilities entail leading internal teams to develop plans and strategies that achieve milestones and goals while minimizing the impacts in communities. The position is also required to support resolve escalated constituent issues and to gain support for Company initiatives. The position requires a close working relationship with external stakeholders as well as internal leadership and project management. The position frequently advises and directs the activities of projects teams to successfully gain the external approvals needed to execute project timelines. The position is a key source of advice to company executives on implementing outreach protocols and procedures as well as directives from the New York State (NYS) Department of Public Service and LIPA. Position is responsible for coordinating responses to Information Requests as primary point-of-contact to legal and for reporting regularly to the NYS Department of Public Service. Position requires excellent communication skills, such as presenting complex information in digestible form to audiences such as state partners and government officials. The position is required to implement audit recommendations such as training and metric requirements as needed. Other responsibilities will be tasked to this position by the Vice President as needed.
Job Responsibilities

- Advocate to gain support for PSEG Long Island positions and projects.
- Development and implementation of strategic planning and outreach plans, process improvement and coordination, milestone tracking for capital projects
- Provide strategic guidance to project managers, engineers, legal, regulatory and permitting associates
- Assembles experts from the appropriate company and line of business to successfully resolve matters related to transmission upgrades, street light outages, storm restoration, environmental incidents, collections, road opening permits, electric delivery and capital projects.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors Degree and 10 years of work experience in utility communications public affairs and or legal regulatory areas or other related experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the utility and power industries and demonstrated managerial experience
- Candidates should possess experience in the fields of community relations public boards or committees lobbying elected or appointed government or public sector experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills developed through interaction with executives public officials and community local boards
- Leadership experience with managing multiple issues and demonstrating strategic thinking and expertise to apply to creative problem solving and planning for contingency issues
- Strong political skills or broad and deep industry knowledge
- Writing presentation and public speaking skills
- Advocacy skills
- Project planning and management
Desired
- Masters degree along with public sector experience with state and local government experience with public private partnerships and policy initiatives
- Budget and management experience
- Knowledge of the power utility and or energy industries
